This COMM module is specially designed for Datakom D-500, 700 MK2 controllers. It includes 3 additional communication interfaces that may be needed for various purposes. 1. ETHERNET PORT Description: IEEE802.3 compliant, 10/100 Base-TX RJ45 Ethernet port with LEDs Data transfer rate: 10/100 Mbps, auto-sensing Connector: RJ45 Cable type: CAT5 or CAT6 Insulation: 1500 VAC, 1 minute Maximum distance: 100 m with CAT5 or CAT6 cable Functionality: built-in TCP/IP, web server, web client, SMTP, email, SNMP, Modbus TCP_IP LED FUNCTIONS: GREEN: This LED lights up when an Ethernet connection is established (connector is inserted) YELLOW: This LED flashes when data is being transferred in or out. Periodic flashing will witness the data flow.2. USB HOST PORTDescription: USB 2.0, non-isolatedPower output: 5V, 300mA maxData transfer rate: 1.5/12Mbps full speed, auto-sensingConnector: USB-A (PC type connector)Cable length: 1.5m or lessFunctionality: USB memory, FAT32, data recordingMemory capacity: all USB flash drives. The USB Host port is designed for detailed data recording. The recording period is adjustable by the program parameter. As soon as the USB flash drive is inserted, the device will start recording data and will continue until the memory is removed. For more information on data recording, please refer to the "Data Recording" section.Warning: If a USB device is connected, the USB Host port will not work.3. RS-485 PORT Connection: 3 wires (AB-GND). Half duplex. Baud rate: 2400-115200 baud, selectable Data type: 8 bit data, no parity, 1 stop bit Termination: external 120 ohm required Isolation: 250 VAC, 1 minute Common mode voltage: -0.5 VDC to +7 VDC, internally clamped by transient suppressors. Maximum distance: 1200 m at 9600 baud (with 120 Ω balanced cable) The RS-485 port supports the MODBUS-RTU protocol. Several modules (up to 128) can be connected in parallel to a single RS-485 bus for data transfer to building automation or control systems. A list of Modbus registers is available upon request. The RS-485 port is also a good solution for remote connection to a PC, where the RainbowPlus software will allow programming, monitoring and control. For more information on programming, control and monitoring via the RS-485 port, refer to the Rainbow Plus software user manual.
