Advantages of SPC flooring
1. Similarity of SPC to natural stone. Due to the use of calcium carbonate (70-80%), SPC coating acquires physical and technical characteristics that are similar to natural stone.
2. Good thermal conductivity.
3. Wear resistance. Due to the high density of the base layer, the floor is resistant to mechanical damage. During the experiment, it was found that when heavy objects fall from a height, there are no traces or cracks left on it, unlike other floor materials.
4. Environmental friendliness. Calcium carbonate and PVC are used for the production of SPC laminate, which are safe for human health. There are no formaldehydes and glue for connecting layers, as in existing analogues.
5. Affordable price. The low cost of the main component makes the price moderate and affordable compared to ceramic tiles, natural stone or wood parquet.
This type of material belongs to the class of composite laminates, which, in addition to PVC, include other polymers and additional additives. One example is the quartz-vinyl laminate of the castle. It has good characteristics and a moderate cost.
SPC coating meets all sanitary and epidemiological requirements, providing a high level of comfort in the house. The main difference between SPC and its analogues is the materials used for production. The main one is calcium carbonate (chalk). The second component is polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The combination of these two components made it possible to create a moderately priced high-quality coating with good physical and technical properties.
Like all types of laminate, SPC flooring consists of three layers: a base, a decorative PVC layer (film), and a wear-resistant PVC layer.
First stage. For the manufacture of the base layer of SPC, 70-80% calcium carbonate and PVC are used. By mixing and heating to 270 degrees, the two components are converted into a homogeneous mass. It is fed to a special matrix, from which the finished sheet is obtained. For further work, it is given time to cool and crystallize.
Second stage. After the base of the future SPC laminate crystallizes, it is covered with a decorative PVC film with a certain decor. To optimize the process, the PVC film is rolled into a roll, which ensures its uniform and quick application over the entire area of the sheet.
The third stage. SPC laminate is covered with a protective layer of polyvinyl chloride, which provides wear resistance, fire resistance and resistance to mechanical damage. Its thickness varies depending on the purpose. For domestic and commercial premises - 0.3 mm, for premises where special equipment is used - 0.5 mm. The use of a protective layer of PVC makes 100% laminate water resistant.
