The DATAKOM SMPS series are lead-acid chargers with a fixed output voltage and limited current, specially designed for permanent connection to generator starter batteries. They keep the batteries fully charged, without overcharging or gassing. Thanks to the continuous DC output, they can also be used in many industrial applications where DC power is required. When the battery voltage is below the smooth charge level, the charger provides a constant current almost equal to the rated output current, which allows you to quickly restore the missing charge. When the battery voltage reaches the smooth level, the charger switches to constant voltage mode and keeps the battery fully charged, ensuring maximum battery life. The device has overload and short circuit protection. They do not require disconnection during start-up. The high-temperature protection of the unit reduces the output current in case of overheating. The chargers can operate in parallel with the engine charge generator and other chargers. Several units can be connected in parallel to obtain a higher rated current. The wide input voltage range allows the chargers to be used in most countries.
