The DATAKOM DKG-110 is a low-cost, microprocessor-controlled motor protection unit designed for use in hand-held generator sets as a safety shutdown device. This device mounts on a standard DIN rail inside the generator control panel.

The device offers basic protection functions for the generator, such as high engine temperature, low engine oil pressure, and generator overspeed/underspeed.

Each LED alarm has a separate semiconductor output, allowing the use of remote visual alarm lights. The device has the parameters "Energy to Stop" and 60 Hz, selected at the manufacturing stage. The device has different models for 12 and 24 volt power plants.

The limit for the correct generator frequency is 30 to 57 Hz. A 3 second delay is provided for high current start-up.

The Safety On signal is received from the alternator voltage input.

The device is usually turned on using the start/stop button on the control panel. It powers the engine fuel solenoid. When powered on, the power indicator is constantly on. When the protection is active, the LED will flash.

The device is available in a DIN rail mounting package with standard dimensions of 36x116x60 mm.
