At the same time, URB 5 provides a high-strength connection thanks to its design features, which make it universal and allow for transverse joining of the tape. The recommended diameter of the drums for the transverse connection of the tape with RShM connectors is 45 – 630 mm. When mounting the connection at an angle of 45 degrees to the direction of movement, it is possible to use it on drums with a diameter of 400 mm. For the convenience of mounting the RShM 45, which has an increased interaxial distance (60 mm), a "free" nut was made, which is automatically centered in the connector during installation, and as a result, there is no need to accurately drill the holes. Thanks to the specially developed profiled shape of the segments, which contribute to the penetration of the rubber coating of the conveyor belt, the smoothness of passing through the counters, hard overflows, as well as possible defective elements of the conveyor joint and rollers is achieved, and the presence of teeth gives additional resistance to tearing and displacement.
