SIP-5 is intended for use in overhead transmission lines of power transmission lines with suspension on supports or facades, built and built according to the characteristics of SIP-5: SIP-5 is a self-supporting wire with aluminum current-carrying cores (without a carrier core), with insulation made of light-stabilized cross-linked polyethylene. SIP-5n is the same, with conductive cores made of aluminum alloy. Technical requirements for wires correspond to HD 626 S1:1995, parts 3 and 4F. Test voltage SIP-5 – 2.5 kV with a frequency of 50 Hz with immersion in water. The cable is resistant to the influence of solar radiation with an intensity of not less than 1120 W/m2. It is allowed to manufacture SIP-5, SIP-5n wires in the "ng" version. The permissible heating temperature of the current-carrying cores of the wires during normal operation is 90°С. The service life is not less than 25 years. The actual service life is determined by the technical condition of the wire. Laying and installation of wires must be carried out at an ambient temperature of at least minus 20°C.
