What is a heel spur?

This is a sharp growth that forms on the articular surface of the calcaneus. It injures the surrounding soft tissues, causing pain and making it difficult to perform the supporting function of the lower limb.

How does the disease manifest itself?

The pain is usually unbearable in the morning when you first step on your heel after a night's rest. During the day, the pain may subside or return, reminding you of itself again.

Shockwave therapy for heel spurs

Shockwave therapy is the fastest and most effective way to treat heel spurs. In general, this method has been scientifically proven to be effective in treating musculoskeletal diseases and is one that does not require surgical intervention.

How does shock wave therapy work for heel spurs?

The shock wave emitted by the device destroys calcium deposits, activating the regeneration process of tissues damaged due to spur formation, restoring mobility and completely eliminating pain.

A course of treatment of 3-4 procedures with an interval of 3-5 days gives a tremendous effect in the treatment of heel spurs.

It is worth noting that the earlier treatment begins, the easier it is to protect yourself from possible complications:

  • swelling of the ankle,
  • arthritis or arthrosis of the big toe joint,
  • severe pain at the site of inflammation.
